Curvy for Coachella

Coachella might be over but I am still stuck in the Hippie boho chic vibe of it all. The boho trend is certainly one that is here to stay and has only been enhanced with the excitement that buzzes around Coachella every year. Vanessa Hudgens is the queen of Coachella style, every year she turns out better and better fridnge, flowers and straight 70’s hippie glam! After a short stalking of her Instagram I feel more inspired to rock the style myself. Being more of a curvy girl myself, interpreting the boho style is not always easy. Hot trends in boho include crop tops, high waisted short shorts, prints and fridge all over. Making these trends work for a curvaceous girl is all about proportions, the right print and fabulous accessories.

Coachella hipness for everyday life looks something like this, a black high neck crop top that meets right at the top of high waisted palazzo pants then with a long lace like vest.

Why this works; the pants are high enough to meet right at the bottom of the crop top and not reveal anything that isn’t wanted. A.K.A my non-toned stomach. Next up the print of the pants, it’s the right size so that it slims rather then expands the look of the leg. The vest is one of those subtle touches that elongates the body and makes you look taller. If that wasn’t enough I am always pro-heel. The key to any good look is; fit, proportion and style. Not too tight or too loose, hits you at the right place on your body to lengthen and slim and finally making sure styles match up. I would love to pair this look with a great faux cowbody hat from Nordstrom, then a long dreamcatcher necklace and a stack of simple chain bracelets. Y’all want to know the best part of this look…the pants, vest and top, only $27.00! All from one of my favorites, H&M. I don’t know about y’all but a bargain just makes an outfit so much more appealing to me.

As fun and flirty as the boho style is, it’s the all-around attitude of hippies and the Coachella goers. Dance even when the music stops, float around in your look like it was easy and effortless, but you know you are fabulous, I can’t think of a better way to go through life. Confident, happy, and able to laugh at myself, never to serious.
